OpenGraph Image for Product

-- Joomla version -- : 3.4.4

Gone over this issue again and again, and I've gone through the forum repeatedly, to no avail.

When a product link is shared on Facebook, the image displayed is not the product - how can I set it to show the product image when sharing the product page?!

Hi,

I don't see the share buttons of HikaShop on the link you gave.
In your Joomla plugins manager, you'll find the "HikaShop social networks" plugin.
When you activate and configure that plugin, you'll get share buttons added by it to the product page. At the same time, it will add the necessary opengraph tags to the header of the page, giving the correct product image URL to facebook.
Right now, the share buttons are not there and thus the opengraph tags aren't added to the header either.

It's enabled - the plugin is all set correctly but the buttons aren't showing.

I've tried clearing cache, reinstalling, disabling and enabling, everything I could think of

Hi,

It's probably because of your Joomla template.
Try renaming the folder templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/html/com_hikashop/product/ via FTP
That will deactivate all the view overrides for the products display and you should hopefully see the buttons then if the social networks plugin is activated.
If yes, then I would recommend to contact your template provider so that they can check the issue with their view overrides of the product page.
