SOLVED: Changing menu parameters not working

With the upgrade to Hikashop 2.6.0 I notice that the menu tabs for menu type Hikashop Category Listing with category options and product options changed. Before the upgrade you would be redirected to Hikashop component to set the config. Now you can stay at the menu item page.

When I set product display to "inherit" it doesn't seem to work.
It only works if I set this parameter in the disabled module "Associated products listing for category listing menu xx"
How confusing...

I was expecting that only the menu item config woud be used. Not the module anymore.

How can this be fixed?

Yes indeed only the menu options should be used.
I can see that your version is from the 29 Sept, we released a new package with hot fixes since, so please download the latest version from our website and install it over your current install.
