Well - I have contacted you 3 times in the last 10 days and got no response. :(

This hikashop has completely baffled me and pissed me off.

Trying to setup a multilingual site with proper SEF urls.
I had the website first in Joomla multilingual, then I re-done everything using falang with the hope I would resolved this thing.

It looks hikashop is too stubborn.
I have the 2level categories module and have created a menu item for categories product listing.
First time I click on a category - it goes to the menu item above.
Then when I choose another category, hikashop will generate a new menu item hikashop-menu-for-module-XXID.

For some time, I had managed to this thing working properly - actually hikashop decided to not create new menu items.
I was released as I thought that my hikashop-menu-for-module nightmares were gone... but then all of sudden the same thing returned back.

This behavior is out of control. I have spent weeks, searching in the forums... trying any possible combination of settings, trying with SEF components, changing menu items, even I recreated the whole multilingual site from scratch translated with Falang, hoping that my initial problems were because of the 2 ways of translation combined.
No hope and no response from you to my contact attempts.

What a mess...

Please advise

Hi,

I am not sure if you are looking for this but maybe this thread will help you as it did for me.

I had this too. There was created about 1200 Associative modules by hikashop. I noticed them, because 1200 modules, slowed down the menu item edit screen (that is trying to load the modules).
I have deleted them all - and since that time I never saw them being created again.

But my main problem is not the modules, is the creation of new menu item for each category, making it impossible to have my desired urls.

Hi,

Where do you have posted your messages ? I just went on your profile page, and the only messages I can see were posted more than 3 months ago.

Regarding your issue, it is the first time it is reported to us. So you have many menu items generated for no reasons, right ?
Could you give us a backend and FTP access via our contact form ? (with a link to that topic)
hikashop.com/support/contact-us.html

For your urls, a solution to have always the same ones is to use the canonical urls. That way, whatever the link used, it will always use the same url, the one set in the Canonical url field.

Hello Xavier,

the previous messages have been sent through the contact form.

Currently I used it again to send you access details. Let me know if you haven't received anything yet.

Hi,

Sorry but I was not able to reproduce the issue on your website.
The only thing I've done is to select the desired menu for the "Menu" option in the module (id: 131) settings.

When on frontend, I clicked many times on many categories, and the url was always correct, no new menu item created.
So if the issue is still not solved, please give us very detailed instructions to reproduce the issue, a step by step guide.

Selecting menu item for the module did it. I didn't know that option existed there.
