Hi,

Turn off the "force canonical URL on listings" setting of the HikaShop configuration and it should work.

Hi,

Then also turn off the "remove category and product id from URLs" setting of the HikaShop configuration.
If that doesn't help, please provide more information on your settings of your products listing and a link to the listing where you get that problem.

Hello,

It didn't work either. Please see attached photo for SEF options.

Hi,

I see that you still have the "Remove products and categories id from URLs" setting of the HikaShop configuration turned off on your screenshot.
Can you check that you changed the correct option ?

Also, I tried to look at the issue on your website but I couldn't find any products listing on the link you gave.
Could you provide a way to look at the products listing in order to analyze the situation more in depth ?

Hi Nicolas,

Last time I put the Force canonical URLs on listings to No, generate the URLs and then turned off the Remove products and categories id in URLs at the same time, it didnt work, but this time it worked.

But I have another problem, (please see sidebar.png image) I have the sidebar and those came from Products > Categories. I customized the URL but when the two options above are turned off, my sidebar doesnt follow the customized URL I put (see cutom-url-cat image for reference). Please see not-custom-url-cat, that is the URL that's generating, which is not right.

I hope I provided enough screenshots for I really need to finish and solve this problem right away. It always takes you 24hrs to reply and my time is wasting.

I have attached (final-sef-options) another image for the configuration.

Thanks.

Hi,

The "Force canonical URLs on listing" setting of the HikaShop configuration allows you to have the system use the canonical URL instead of the automatically generated URL on your listings. So yes, that's normal. If you turn off that setting, the canonical URL isn't used anymore. And if you turn it on it is used.
Also, that URL needs to be valid. You can't put whatever you want in the "canonical URL" field. You need to use one of the URLs valid for the category or product. It's not a SEF alias URL but a canonical URL. So it seems that you're trying to use it for something that it isn't and that's why you're getting these "product not found" errors, because the canonical URLs of your products are not valid.

I believe we replied to your questions with a mean delay of 12h, not 24h.

Hello,

My option should be Force URL and generate it if missing so I could use the customized link I put on the sidebar, but Im having problems with the product not found. Anymore suggestions? The customized links I put in the sidebar are correct because they are the same link as with my main menu.

Hi,

This customized link, is a valid link ? I mean can the products be reached from a menu having this alias ?
If not, so that can't work correctly. Could you give us a link to your website ? (this can be sent privately via our contact form)

To use the canonical url "/men-s-fashion" the default menu of our website must be a category listing menu allowing the display of all the subcategories.
