In an effort not to bother you I have been searching and experimenting (12 plus hours) for an answer as to Where/how do I find product listing content menu/module configuration page so I can take the price off the product listing. I have seen from the beginning that it is done using the product listing content menu/module configuration page but never have I seen any useful information as to how to find it. Yes I see all the modules. Apparently finding one that pertains to a product is purely guess work. Do you think that at some point it might be useful/helpful to describe succinctly as to how this is done? I know I would greatly appreciate it.

Hi,

Go in the Joomla menu/module manager and edit your menu/module. There, you'll find a "products options" tab where you'll find all the settings in order to customize the display of the products listing, including the setting to display/hide the prices

Is it possible to see screen shots of the module in your demoshop? You are not allowed to open them, i´m sure for a good reason.

Thank you Nicolas,

I mentioned in my question that I already had the information you gave in your reply and was still having problems. There are to ways to approach Menu related issues. When you speak of editing or managing a "Module" whether a menu module or otherwise, the tendency is to think of the Extensions menu, then modules and then to address the situation from there.

Would it be more explanatory/correct to say that one should go to the menu tab in the joomla backend and then select for example Main Menu and then select any or all the menus under which the item has been assigned and then edit the product settings from there?

Would it also be more descriptive to say that all "menus" have a module but not all products are listed under menus and therefore product listing prices may need to be turned in their respective module under the extensions tab?

Also, what is the distinction between "HikaShop Default Menus" and "Main Menu" under the Joomla backend menu tab? In the demos I see them both heavily populated with HikaSshop links. What is going on with that?

Hi,

You didn't provide your Joomla version number (although we ask for it when you create a new thread). So I assumed that you had the latest version and provided an answer adapted to that.
But with the screenshot, I can see that you're using Joomla 2.5.
With Joomla 2.5, you need to go in the menu Components>HikaShop, then use the "Display>Content menus/modules" menu of HikaShop. There, you can edit your menu/module and see its options, including the one for the display of the price or not.

The "HikaShop Default Menus" is where HikaShop create default menu items related to the display of HikaShop pages so that you can move them to your main menu if you want to. By default the "HikaShop Default Menus" menu items are not displayed on the frontend so that way, we can preconfigure menu items for you during the installation of HikaShop without changing your website frontend in the process even though your shopping isn't yet configured.
