-- HikaShop version -- : 2.6.0
-- Joomla version -- : 3.4.5
-- PHP version -- : 5.3.3.

Between filling the products, fidling with filters (other discussion) I'm also looking into displaying the products.
I have some categories setup ( motorbandenzaak.nl/hikashop-menu-for-categories-listing/shop2 ).
I set sub-element-filter to direct-sub-elements to avoid showing all products below the category listing.
When I browse to" Aprila" - "50" - "1992" - "50 Amico - 50" I was expecting to see a list of products belong to my category, but in stead it jumps bag to the first page, yet showing the url motorbandenzaak.nl/hikashop-menu-for-cat...lia-50-1992-50-amico
If I create a menu item which goes directly to the intended category, it shows (after loading for a while) the desired products.
I set the Product Options and Category Options the same in both menu items.
Must be missing some simple setting somewhere (in the huge amount of settings that are available), but which one.

I just moved the "final category" up one in the tree, and the same issue, it jumps back to the first page...
Even made it part of the first page, but when clicking it doesn't show products and returns to base page.

Stays strange, because when I add a random product to any of the sub categories, it is displayed in that particular subcategory, but once in the final intended category, the page just turns back to the initial page ....

Hi,

Do you have any sef component installed ? I think that you potentially have a conflict between HikaShop and this component.
The url is actually:

http://motorbandenzaak.nl/hikashop-menu-for-categories-listing/shop2/category/aprilia-50-1992-50-amico
But it should be:
http://motorbandenzaak.nl/hikashop-menu-for-categories-listing/shop2/category/aprilia/50/1992/50-amico

Thnx, that was probably it....,
Changing my setup, and have found some other times where the SEF Url was the problem. Basically, when changing a position of a category it appears that the SEF Url is not changed, and if playing around a lot with that it could be messed up like this indeed......
Is there a way to reset/rebuild the SEF Url's for all items ?
(Something like the rebuild option in the category backend)

Hi,

If you are talking about the canonical urls, so that can be done via our mass actions system, in the data "product", in the action select the update values action and let an empty field.

There are the only urls we store.

Turns out this was not the issue.......
I found out that I still had several categories not showing products and jumping back to root category. Also in the backend these categories didn't even show themselves at all when browsing products !!!

Finally looked into this more thorough, still believing it to be canonical stuff, but it turned out the the category_type field in the jos_hikashop_category table was not set. Once set to 'product', all was fine both in front en backend.

Initial cause in my case was most likely some error in my scripts filling the database. But just wanted to add this possible solution in case somebody runs into this one in the future.
