Hi,

So you want that instead of displaying the product with the message "no stock" it must not be selectable ?
For this in Configuration > Main > Product you can select the values "Table" or "Listing" for the option "Characteristics selection method".

Hello,

Where is "Configuration > Main > Product" ?

I think it would be better if the inactive variants are not shown in the frontend.
After all you may want to put an article variant as inactive even if it is in stock.
Can you add an ".inactive_variant" so I could hide them in CSS ?

If you can make the inactive variants not selectable that's ok too.

Thank you for your answer.

I still think it would be valuable to add an .inactive_variant class. So we can style it and the clients could see it's unavaliable before selecting the variant.
Perhaps you could add it in a future version ?

Best regards

Hi,

If you have only one variant selector this can be possible, but if you have at least two variants it require more requests to check if the variants is available or not. So if one value is selected in the dropdown, it require a Javascript check to add or not that class (or remove directly the value from the dropdown). And if we change the value of one of the dropdowns we must check if the other values must be displayed, etc.

We keep that in mind, but it is not as simple as it seems ;)

I have the same problem with Hikamarket.
I want to have product templates with set/fixed characteristics to my vendors but that dosen´t seem to work so i made a few products with the characteristics that i want/need and then i make a new product with the templates added as options under the Specifications tab. That gives me a product that has the options i want and the vendors can add his product and characteristics of it ( different prizes for different sizes).
To explain it better, i sell prints that i print on canvas or whatever and need to have different sizes and materials to choose from and the vendor/artist upload´s his image and set´s his price on the image for the different sizes.

So if a customer choose a vendors image and the material and size, i don´t want the options that do not fit in the list.
It´s the only way i can figure out how to do it so both vendors get paid

Hi,

I am sorry but I don't understand your issue.
If you have an issue with HikaMarket, please use the appropriate forum.

Your product page looks like to have characteristics and options.

Please understand that the product page IS hikashop ; so please do not start your message "I have the same problem with HikaMarket" because your problem is not HikaMarket.

Sorry for my bad English and i am not good at explaining stuff either, but i will try again ( move this to right forum if in wrong one now ) :)

What i try to do i setup a market where my vendors for exempel will sell there photos as canvas paintings and i make the printing.
So i try to make a template or product they can use as a template and my problems is as follows.

Depending on the size the customer choose of the print prize on the vendor should be able to get paid according to that size ( so the vendor should be able to set different prizes to different sizes and we can do that with Characteristics so far no problem.
My problem comes when i need to get the customer to choose paper typ and frame size again so i can get paid what it costs to do the printing and framing.

So if a customer wants a picture printed in size 30x30 they choose first image size ( so vendor get paid ) and then the rest of the sizes should not be selectable when they have to choose papertype and framing and so on... thats my problem

hope this makes sense to you, english is not my native :D

Hi,

So once the image size is selected, they must not be able to edit it, right ?
It is not possible by default in HikaShop, this will require custom code.

I think that this will require Javascript code to set the dropdown as not editable once the size has been selected.
