Hikashop Related Product Display Modification

We have a client who would like their product page to display optional 'extra' products as images. On each of their products they would like optional extra 'gifts' to be available to the customer when browsing a product, however they would like these to be displayed as a list of images very similar to the look of this page

Currently we are displaying the extras as related products but need the system to allow a client to specify the options of a product similar to how the above site is managing this (small/large balloon etc). Is this something hikashop is capable of doing without major code changes? We have been through the backend settings for related product display and have found the settings for displaying options as checkboxes, tables and lists but cant find anything to achieve the desired look. Does this functionality required modifying the product view?

Hello Peter,
If you exactly want that kind of behavior and displaying, this functionality will require the modification of the code of the file of the "product" view of your front-end template via "Hikashop->Display->Views" but some development skills will be required.

Thanks for the reply, which file directly controls only a single product page and not product listings? I've had a play around with some success but at this stage I can easily use a sub module to display related products as a quick work around as we are constrained by time.
