Only 10 brands visible for a product

Good morning!

If I try to add a brand to a product I get the spinner and only the first 10 brands are visible (see the attached image). I did delete all the brands, just 14 for this test, and if I recreate them the problem is the same.

The brands are correctly displayed on my brands menu page, and the corresponding products are linked to the brands as well, as long as I am able to link a brand to a product in the back end.

The Force canonical URLs on listings is set to Use canonical URL and generate it if missing.

I did remove the canonical URLs from the brands and they are correctly recreated if you select a brand on the brand menu page.

For some reason it looks like the system is unable to find the remaining 4 brands, if I edit an existing product or create a new product.

I already did notice the problem in version 2.6.0 but I am not sure if this was something from the start or that I only did notice it just last week.

It could be that it is caused by something I did wrong, but after a lot of reading I am not getting any closer to a solution.

If I manually add a brand in the above script with Firebug the brand is added to the product, I am sure that if I would use a csv import that would work as well, but I can not explain that to the lady's at the office

Any help or input will be appreciated.

yep another stupidity on my side, wish I could make up for it in some way. The problem is that we, as users do not have anybody else to talk to and exchange ideas or problems.

I think that this is about the last thing I had on my list of inconveniences for the moment.
