-- HikaShop version -- : 2.6.1

Hello,

I've recently installed OSmap and the integration plugin, thanks for that :).

I was wondering if there's any way to get rid of the hikashop default menu's and categories/colour/white etc from within the sitemap. Can they just be 'unpublished'?

Many thanks,
Hal

Hi,

Why not ? Go in the Joomla menu manager and disable the menu items you don't want.

Thanks Nicolas,

I just wanted a bit of reassurance that it wouldn't mess things up somewhere else.

I have still got a bit of a problem though. For some reason, it's including categories that haven't got a menu.

For instance, I have a category for the colour white; used in the filter. There's no menu pointing to this category, but it's still in the sitemap. Now, I've used Xmap previously and these haven't been included before. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Hal

Hi,

The system bases itself on the menu items. So I can only guess that the category must be reachable in some way from a menu item of your website.
Also, if the category is not a category you want to see on the frontend, you should unpublish it. There is an extra check on the categories and it only takes into account published categories.

Hello,

I can't unpublish the categories, because I'm using them in my filter.

There's definitely no menu pointing to these categories either. I have all the hidden and default menu's turned off..

Could you take a look?

Thanks,
Hal

Hi,

Unpublish the parent category of these categories then.
Usually when you use categories only for a filter, and not for browsing on your website, they are all in a specific category and you can unpublish this category.

Regarding the women brands link, I don't see the problem on the link you gave:
take.ms/9Z1KE
Please also note that the singular or women is woman and the plurar is women, not womens (and the same for men).

I moved them all to a specific parent category and that's worked great, thanks.

With regards to the link, you need to navigate from /bikesport/. It's a development website, not the live site that's in the screenshot. Could you please take another look?

I don't understand the logic of debating the correct use of English language, but I'm happy to oblige :). I assume that you're referring to the use of 'Women's brands' or 'Women's shoes' etc. This is a perfectly normal way to explain that you're selling products appropriate to women. An alternative would be 'shoes for women', although this is rarely used. Women shoes, makes no sense.

Thanks,
Hal

Did you manage to take a look at the brand navigation problem?

Thanks,

Hi,

Please download¨the latest version of HikaShop from our website, we added some patches on the 2.6.1 version to fix this kind of issues.

It that does not solve your issue, please give us screenshots of your settings for the "womensbrands" menu.

Hello,

I'm running 2.6.1, I've attached some screenshots. The menu is set up as a hikashop categories listing, with the main category set to Women's brands.

Many thanks,
Hal

Hi,

We were able to reproduce the issue on our end and we fixed it.
So you can download the latest version of HikaShop from our website (still 2.6.1 but updated with some fixes ;) ) and install it over your current install.

Hello Xavier,

I did as you said, but I'm still getting the same problem. Clicking on Women's Brands navigates to the parent category 'Brands'.

Could you please take another look?

Many thanks,
Hal

Hi,

My bad, I forgot to post the modifications so it has not yet been included in the package.
Please try again, this time is the good one :)

Hi,

There was again a misunderstanding on our end. I'm really sorry.
Try again. If you still have the problem after that, (which I don't think you will as we can't reproduce the problem with the fix), I guess we'll have to access the FTP again to check the issue.
