Hello,

Some of the products that I imported from Virtuemart are not being found when clicking on their names on the product listing pages. If I edit the product, make no changes, then click save, the issue is resolved. I have included a screenshot for the SEF URL options I have set in the configuration. These settings are only affecting some products from each category, so it does not seem to be a global issue. The products that I have edited, do not have any text entered into the SEO area, so this is not affecting anything either. Any ideas on what is needed to fix this issue?

Mike

Hi,

So after you save the product, the SEO area of the product is exactly the same as before ?
Is the URL of the product on the listing the same before and after the save ? What is the URL ?

Hello,

Yes, I just reviewed a product that said it could not be found and the SEF URL before saving it was /development/joomla3/book-store/delmar-cengage-nelson-education/product/principles-of-fire-prevention-2nd-edition. After saving the specific product, clearing my browser's cache, then reloading the same product page, the content appears at the same URL. Also, the page title changes from Product not found to the actual product title. Again, this issue is only affecting certain products from each category, but all were imported from the same Virtuemart store. I have 838 products on the store and I do not want to spend the day saving each product individually, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi,

When you edit products, you can see a "SEO" section on the interface.
Are the fields there the same before and after the save ?
If not, what is the difference ?
That's what I wanted to know when I asked:

So after you save the product, the SEO area of the product is exactly the same as before ?

Hello,

Sorry for the confusion. The SEO fields are empty before and after saving a product that is affected by the product not found issue.

Hi,

Then I don't see why saving the product would change anything.
Do you see any other difference when you save the product ? Like the category changing, or something ?

Hello,

No other changes are occurring that I have noticed. I have gone through all of the products and manually saved them, which corrected this issue, but it was very time consuming.
