Hello, I would like to have the product listing div display just an image which covers the entire div. I will later add some script so that when a user hovers over the image a transparent window appears over the top with the product price and description. I would also like to remove the margin between product images. I would really appreciate knowing how to do this. Thank you in advance.

I managed to solve this myself with the ue of firebug. Firefox was corrupt so I uninstalled and reinstalled it and I was able to find everything I needed. Thanks just the same.

Hello,

1. Setting the "Layout type" option to "Image" through your product listing menu/module configuration page will probably be a good thing to do.

2. Using some CSS code will probably do the job : hikashop.com/support/documentation/24-do...the-display.html#css

Note that you can also edit the code of the "Listing_img" file of the "Product" view of your front-end template via "Hikahsop->Display->Views".

Hello Mohamed, Thank you for your reply. I don't seem to have an image option other than in the Default parameters for Div's area, is this because I am using the starter version? The Type of item Layout is set to image but this makes no difference. The only options I have in the Type of Layout options are div, table and list. I found this under the System> Display > Modules main default options. Thank you for the link, I have already tried this option before posting in here and the image was pixelated. I tried deleting the thumbnail images and this made no difference. If I can get this template to work the way I want it to then I will purchase another business version of HikaShop. Thanks again for your help.

Edward

Hi,

The Default parameters of the HikaShop configuration are only default parameters. Each menu and module have the same setting which overrides that default parameter.
You can find it under the "product options" or "HikaShop options" tab when you edit your menu item / module via the Joomla menu/module manager with any edition of HikaShop.

Hi,
I managed to get the image to display clearly. I am still not able to get the image to display the full length and width of the container underneath it. I would have thought that this would be a relatively simple task using CSS. When I apply a CSS style to the image it forces the image to be out of the flow. The look I am trying to achieve is on a url so rather than risk getting in trouble for posting a url in here I will simply send an email.

Thanks
