-- HikaShop version -- : 2.6.1
-- Joomla version -- : 3.5.0
-- PHP version -- : 5.3.10

I have upgraded my site to Joomla 3.5 and the administrator view editor seems to be broken. You can list views but click on one to edit and the page is only partially rendered.

Thanks,

Ian

Hi,

We have the latest version of HikaShop with Joomla 3.5.0 on our demo website and I don't see any problem with the view edition.
And same on my localhost.
So I suppose that the issue you have comes from something else than the update.
A third party plugin ? The code mirror editor plugin settings ?
A javascript error on the page because of a conflict with another extension ?

Hi Nicolas,

Somewhere along the line the code mirror plugin was unpublished - must have been me at some point "tidying up" before doing the upgrade.

As this is a requirement for the view editor maybe a check in that script for the availability of code mirror would be a good idea?

Thanks for your help.

Hi,

Code mirror is actually not required.
You can edit view files without it. You'll however miss the syntax colouring and the line numbers.
I've tested to edit the view files without code mirror on a Joomla 3.5 and it works fine too, so the problem is elswhere.

I'd also unpublished the "Editor - None" plugin which is evidently the fall back. My thinking there was I am using an editor (JCE) so why should I need that published? I've found out now.

Ah yes, if you unpublish both the none editor and the code mirror editor you get that error.
I'm able to reproduce.
Well, you're supposed to have one or the other enabled.
We'll add a check on that.
