Hello,

is it possible to create sub categories in a main categorie only to show subtitles in the shop?
In the attachment you see what I mean.
The target is, to show different titles in the same categorie of products. ( It is like a kind of separation between the products to make it clearly arranged.
Example:
You have a categorie named food and you want to show sandwiches, wraps and beverages when the customer chose the food categorie but they are separated with their titles.

I hope you understand what I mean.

Thanks

Hi,

Yes it's possible. In the "products options" tab of your menu item, that you can edit via the Joomla menu manager, set the "sub element filter" setting to "group by category" and that will do that automatically provided that you set the sub categories and linked the products to them.

Hello,

that was exactly what I mean.
I created extra categories to use them as titles, configured as "group by category".
Just one question, how can hide the category "box", because now it shows the category box and it's name. (see screenshot)
I can change the picture size in the categorie options to 1px, but that is not the target.. Probably you have a better solution. :)

Hello,

You can make disappear by editing your item menu configuration, by go to Menus => Main Menu, click on your Item Menu to edit it ("Bamkuch" if I keep your screenshot example), then click on Categories Options, and look for Item Layout part.

With :

- Layout type => select Title if I well understand your needs (or else, among several value)
- Item Box configuration part => Border set to No.

Hope this will help you.

Hello,
I do these changements, but now the problem is the same.
I have still the categorie "Couronnes" which is visible on the page, as title without image.
But the I wanted this title(Categorie link) to disappear (see printscreen)

Thanks

Hello, can you check your categories three, there Components => HikaShop => Categories

I wonder if your category "Bamkuch" isn't in parent category "Pâtisserie" ?
If yes, it's quite normal to have this category displayed here, the most logical will be to store elsewhere.
If for a reason or another this isn't possible some Css code can remove this Title.

Hope this will help you.

Hello,

Bamkuch is in the correct category.
But I want titles in the shop to separate the items in different groups.
I want do the same in the menu TOGO. In this category I have the sub categories: Sandwiches, wraps etc.
Target is to show all the articles in this category, separated by the titles (similar to the category Bamkuch) but without the category boxes ahead. (That's why I want them to disappear, can I insert a css code to make them disappear in the categories I want?)
..The customer will see all the products by scrolling down and do not need to click on the different subcategories of the sub categories.

Thanks

Hi,

If you make that Bamkuch menu item as a products listing instead of a categories listing via the Joomla menu manager, it should remove the "couronnes" category at the top without changing the rest of the page.

Hello,

it works, also for the other categories.
It is just important, that there is no article in the main categorie, otherwise this category will be shown as well. (So every product must be affected to a subcategory snd it works)

Thanks,
