Hi Hikacrew !

Well the site is finally online !

I seem to only have one slight problem (so far).
When you got to the URL ( I included), and try clicking on the first and second products you'll get a 404, but not on the third, that one' seems to be ok. Mind you they all have the exact same settings and identical url paths.
I tried changing the URL in the canonical section, but that doesn't seem to work.
It worked for a few different products throughout the site I fixed, but theses one's won't or don't. change.
So, I was wondering if you might know why ?

Let me know if you want access?
Thx.

Hi,

If you get a 404 error it's likely that the canonical URL is wrong.
Try emptying that field.
Also, make sure that the alias that you entered in the product correspond to the alias in the canonical URL you're using.

Hi Nicolas;

Yeah, I 'm aware of those points you mentioned, but nothing I do to canonical url changes anything.
I always get a 404 page.
It's very strange.
Maybe I should do a repair database table or something like that ?
Any other ideas?'

Thx.

Hi,

If you disable the canonical in Configuration > Features > SEF Urls are you able to reach the products ?
Could you give us a screenshot of the configuration of the "tanga" product ?

OK i tried to disabling the SEF, and when I click on the TANGA it take me to the index.php (homepage) , (very strange).

And here's the screenshot.

Could it be a server configuration problem ??

Hi,

I don't think it's a server issue.
How about turning off the "force canonical URLs on listings" setting of the HikaShop configuration ?

Hi Nicolas;

I tried that... but that hasn't changed anything.
So I did some investigating, and here's what i found.
Compared Panties to G-string in the DB and all the settings are identical.
So, then I decided to recreate a product : Panties.
Didn't want it conflict with the unpublished original Panties, so I called them: Latex Panties.
And that worked, it displayed no problem. So once that worked, I decided to delete the old Panties product from the Hikashop.
Then I decided to restore the old name of : Latex Panties to just : Panties.
And that is where it stop working.
It seems that if the product only has one word, something, url related, fails.

Your take ?

Hi,

It works fine on my end whether the name has one word or several.
Maybe you have something else with the same name ? Like a Joomla article alias, or a Joomla category ?

Hi Nicolas;

Humm, no there are no other things named the same, like what you mentioned.

For now, I've just added another word to all single named product aliases and it works; not really a fix, but it's a solution for now.

Maybe when I update to 2.6.2, it will fix the problem?

Thanks for your help.

Hi,

I don't remember such bug in the 2.6.0 but maybe my old age is playing tricks with me, so it's not impossible.
