-- HikaShop version -- : 2.6.3
-- Joomla version -- : 3.5.1
-- Error-message(debug-mod must be tuned on) -- : Varient quantity

hi,

i have set the product main price to 0 and quantity to unlimited.
and in hika shop configuration i have set to don't let user add a product with main price of 0 to cart.

so i have to manage price and quantity in varients section tab (right?)

but the problem is if a varient quantity = 0 the customers still can add the product with varient to cart with price of main product (not varient price)

i want to display wait list if a product varient price or quantity = 0.

how can i do this ?

Hello,

so i have to manage price and quantity in varients section tab (right?)

Yes, if you want to let the price of your main product set to 0, then if you want your customers to be able to add your product variants, then you'll have to add a price to your variants.

but the problem is if a varient quantity = 0 the customers still can add the product with varient to cart with price of main product (not varient price)

If you have set your variant quantity to 0 then you shouldn't be able to add it on your cart, are you sure that you didn't added to your cart another variant of your product ? If that's the case then can you show me some screenshots of how you configured your product and its variants ?

i think i finally found the problem,

here i can add more comments to describe the problem,

the product main qty and price is unlimited and zero as it should be.
i have rose gold variant as default
and gray and silver as my other variants with their own prices.

when i set the qty of the default variant to zero although other variants has their own qty and prices they become out of stock.
when i set the product default variant qty to any thing except zero other variants will get the correct qty
when i set the product default variant qty to any thing except zero and a none default variant to zero it will get the default variant stock as its own !

i think this is cause of my template cause when i use Joomla default template i don't have this problems.
can you tell me which files involve in this problem and where should i check to solve the problem ?

Hi,

So yes, it looks like the problem comes from the customization done to the views by your template which doesn't properly support that.
The best would be to talk to your template provider in that case since they need to fix the override files on their end.

The override files should be in the folder templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/html/com_hikashop/product/
So you can rename the files in their one by one in order to find the one with the problem.

hi nicolas,
thanks for your reply and sorry about bumping my thread i was so worried about the problem i didn't noticed the time zone differences !

the problem is that my theme does not have any support and for right now i cannot change it or even contact the author of it .
i know i have to update or change my theme soon but right now i need a solution to fix my store,
i've tried the way you just said to me, i have renamed even the whole com_hikashop in my template html folder but it looks like the problem is somewhere else.

this happened when i updated my hika to 2.6.3,
do you have any idea of the source of the problem ?
i will appreciate your help on this case,

and once again sorry about bumping . ;-)

Hi,

Well, I don't see how it could come from something else that the files in the html/com_hikashop folder of the template. Maybe some kind of caching in the template settings then ?
If you don't have the issue with the protostar template and only with your template, renaming the html/com_hikashop folder should remove the problem, unless there is some kind of caching and thus you wouldn't see the change. So try checking that.

Please note that our support is for HikaShop, not for Joomla templates.
