Add to cart button doesn't add products to cart

i m designing a new eshop, i haven't added any prices yet except in 1-2 products just to check.
Now, the problem is that when i click "add to cart" the popup notice shows up BUT if i click continue the cart shows 0 products and if i click complete order i get the message "cart is empty" instead of redirecting me to checkout page.

i tried changing the sessiong handler setting of the Joomla configuration and the "Use AJAX when possible for add to cart buttons" setting of the HikaShop configuration. None of them helped the problem.

My hikashop subscription has expired so i can't update at the moment.
I had this same problem before with another site and i updated to hikashop 2.6.0 back then to fix the problem. So now that i have installed again the same hikashop version (2.6.0) what might cause this issue?

I installed the same hikashop version in another site and it also did not work, then i installed another version of hikashop 2.6.0 and it seems to have fixed the problem.

Ok now i have another issue with the cart!

I 've made some changes in the CSS and in some view files of hikashop, i have enabled mini cart but when i click "add to cart" the cart module displays everything: name, quantity, price etc. (image1) BUT if i refresh the page the mini cart is displayed correctly. (image2)

i only have one cart module, i turned off the "Use AJAX when possible for add to cart buttons" setting and that seem to have fixed the problem BUT the reason i had turned it on is because i m using a 3d party hikashop module (SJ slider for hikashop) and without that option on the add to cart popup does not show up, there is some conflict with javascript, i m not really sure.
