Link to a product from an external source

I need to place a hyperlink in a downloadable pdf document that will open a specific product page in Hikashop. In other word, someone must be able to download a pdf document from the website to their computer. When the read the document and click on a link in the document it must open a browser and take them to a specific product page in Hikashop.

I have tried the following;
1.Open the product page in Hikashop
2.Copy the URL
3. Insert this URL in my document

When I download the file and click the link I get a blank page. However, if I paste the link straight into the browser it opens fine.

Thank you for the reply. Here are the steps I follow;
1. Open the product in Hikashop
2. Copy the URL from the browser ( www.mysite.domian/index.php/component/hi...4-togbags?Itemid=185 )
3. Paste the url into a word document as a link. ( www.mysite.domian/index.php/component/hi...4-togbags?Itemid=185 )
4. Export word doc to pdf.
5. Upload pdf to joomla site.

When I look at the link in word, it is correct.
When I llok at the link in pdf it is correct.
When I click the link in pdf or in word it takes me to this url ( www.mysite.domain/index.php/component/users/?view=login
If I then Login it simply shows a logout button.
If I was Logged in at the time of clicking the link it takes me straight to the Logout button.

All other links to other Joomla content works perfect. It is only the Hikashop Product pages that has this issue.
