Characteristic Selection Method LIST single item

Is there a way I can edit one of the views to display my variants as a "list" for one particular product and keep all other products using the default "radio button?" I need to have the quantity input for each variant on a particular product, but I prefer the "radio button" method on all other products. If this is possible, could I also have a single "add to cart" button below the list and have the default quantity set to "0" as I have already done with the Characteristics in the link I provided? This would allow the customer to first select a quantity for each variant, and then add their characteristics, see the updated total, and then click "add to cart."

Thank you so much for your quick response. The link you provided shows exactly what I'm trying to do, but I don't have the option in the custom fields to create a list type field. It selects "text" by default, and there is no option for "list" nor can I leave the option blank as the post you referenced suggests. Is this a feature not compatible with my version of Hikashop or Joomla? It looks like my Hikashop subscription just expired last week, and I'm unable to upgrade the client's Joomla version right now until I check compatibility with all other components :/
