Scale prices / volume-related prices in add price

Just set the prices in the main product and not in the variants and it will apply to all the variants regardless of the values of the variants. So the counting of the quatity will be done on all the variants too in that case.

And if you set the prices in each variant, then the quantity prices will be counted for each variant of the product independently.

No there is no option.
You have two possibilities:
- You create a category and add it to both products and configure a coupon with the "auto load in cart when possible" setting turned on and that way, you can have that coupon reduce the total amount of the order when the "minimum quantity in order" of the products in that category is met.
- You can develop a plugin to modify the price of the products in the cart dynamically. For example the plugin from the section "How to sell products by Width and Length ?" of our FAQ does that:

You can potentially create several coupons with different minimum quantity and the corresponding discount amount so that the system will automatically pick the appropriate coupon based on the number of products from that category.
Now, I don't know much about the details of what you want to do, so that might not be possible in your case either...
