-- HikaShop version -- : 2.6.4

Hi,

I would like to ask there is any solution to order the items of category by price as default with backend settings? I don't want use filter.

It's hard to order the items by manually on backend. I think this function needs to be basic settings.

Hi,

The "sort by price" in HikaShop 2.6.x is a feature provided by the filters.
But there will be a new feature in HikaShop 3.x which will allow every version to have a sorting by price even if it will be less accurate than the filtering system (which can handle ACL, discounts, etc).

Then before HikaShop 3.x there is no solution e.g. edit the source?

Hi,

Knowing that it took us several days of work to implement the feature in HikaShop 3 ; I won't recommend you to edit the HikaShop source code except you're absolutely sure of what you want to do.

But ; you can create a product custom field and store in that field a referenced price which will help you to sort your products in the listings.
You can also use a mass-action if you want to copy the first product price into that custom field (using the "OPERATION" operator).
