Need multiple choice drop down menu for product items

One of the items we sell are hand crocheted beanies. I need to be able to allow people to choose up to 8 colors from a list of over 100 different colors. Is there a relatively easy way to do this w/o having to list 100+color options? I have not been able to find anything in the forum or FAQs that addresses this issue but I cannot believe that no one else has run into this problem.

Hi,

You can create a custom field of the table "item" and of the type "multiple dropdown" for that via the menu Display>Custom fields with the Business edition.
However, you can't set a min/max limit on the number of elements to be selected.
That would require the development of a custom field type plugin or a custom cart plugin.

Otherwise, you can also create 8 custom fields so that the customer would be able to select a choice in each dropdown.
