Additional product images thumbnails not displaying

-- Joomla version -- : 3.6.5

Good morning,

I received an email over the holiday from a client running HikaShop on their website. If you look at
ojoelmercado.com/ojo-collection/tee-shir...embroidered-logo-tee
and select any of the variants from the dropdown, you will see that the main product photo changes
accordingly.

That part functions fine.

The problem that has arisen is that they have also added additional product images (Product tab,
Images & Files panel) but those additional product thumbnails are not displaying. They display
fine on products that do not have variant dropdowns.

How do I fix this?

Hi,

I've never heard of such issue.
Try with the default template of Joomla, does it work ?
Also, could you provide a screenshot of the settings for the product of your link ?
Could you also provide a link to a product without variants for which it works ?

No matter what template I use, the problem persists.

Here is a product without a variant dropdown. You can see that the additional product image thumbnails display fine:

The product with the thumbnail display problem is:

I have attached 2 images for this product. The first is the product tab settings. The second is the variant tab.

Hi,

There is no problem at all.

The first product have two images.

The second product have one image per variant.
If you change the variant the thumbnail can also change.. But because all of your variants have images, the images of the main product are not used, they are overriden.

So if a product has variants and images assigned to those variants, there is no way to also display
additional images NOT assigned to variants below the main image?

Hi,

If the variant do not have any image ; all images of the main product will be used.
If the variant have images ; these images will be used.
