Lumber website - entering price

My client has products that are priced per linear foot -- example: 1x4 wood board - 6 feet long - .96 per linear foot

Is there a way in HikaShop to enter the price as .96 per linear foot and have the system calculate the price when the customer selects the length they want

OR do I have to sit and do all the manual calculations and then enter the price for each length of product?

Additionally - the 1 x 4 comes in 2 types of wood - common and select - each with a different price. can I group those into one product and the price change based on what the client selects or is it better to separate them into 2 products -- 1 x 4 common and 1 x 4 select? In both cases, the user would have to select the length of the product.

Here is a link to the site we are making into eCommerce: griffislumber.com/products/squareedge-s1s2e

I hope this makes sense.

Hi,

Yes. You can do that.
For the type of wood, you can configure a characteristic and have only one product, that's not a problem.
You can then either have a second characteristic for the length and enter the price for each combination, or you can have a custom item field in order to let the customer enter/select the value he wants and then use a small plugin to calculate the price based on the quantity entered: www.hikashop.com/support/forum/2-general...w-feature.html#24390
