Possible to add Options Characteristics to the page URL on option selection

Hi,
Is there any way to add VARIANT name to the product page URL at the time the client select the Variant, or at the time they click AD TO CART, so the url of the page BECAME
http...../productoriginalname?VariantName1A&VariantName2B&VariantName3C
or something like that?

THE GOAL: is to have finalized URL at the moment they complete selecting variants and proceed to checkout page. So I know the exact Referral that includes their Variants in URL and i can use the URL data for customized actions.
