Pagination settings

I can't for the life of me find the pagination settings for Hikashop category listings despite searching old forum posts and the documentation.

On the page mentioned it's displaying in 3 columns but loading 20 items which means the final row has empty columns in it and I can see where I can change the columns/rows (menu item display settings) but now where to choose 21 instead of 20 items?

Hi,

When you edit your menu item via the Joomla menu item, under the "categories options" and the "products options" tab, you can configure the number of columns and number of rows of the listing on each page of the pagination.
If you set 3 columns and 7 rows, you'll get 21 items per page.

I've tried doing this but still on the 1st page of that product category only 20 products are showing.
I have attached a screen shot of how I tried to change this, Is this where it should be set up ?

Hi,

Then please provide screenshots of all the settings of that menu item and a link to that page so that we can have a look.

Please find attached other settings let me know if you need any more and where I find them.

The link to a typical example of a page which is not displaying 21 products is here www.thedramastudio.com/store/category/25...n-plans-age-4-7.html

You will see that this is page one of a category and only displaying 20 products.

Hi,

Unfortunately, the alias of the menu item in your screenshots ( "hikashop-menu-for-products-listing" ) and the menu item alias of the URL ( "store" ). So you're not looking at the settings of the correct menu item.

Hi Nicolas

Please find attached a screengrab of the correct menu item settings.

As you can see we have it set to 3x7 so 21 items should be getting loaded but since the pagination is set to 20 there is a blank space in the final row. We can find where we can change the number of items to display per page to adjust that to 21, or at least something divisible by 3.

Hi,

It looks ok. So can you provide a backend access via our contact form along with a link to this thread so that we can have a deeper look into it ?

Have done so now via simon@arcas.co.uk.

Not sure what you mean by it looks okay though? The issue is we've set the display to be 3x7 meaning 21 items but can't adjust the pagination to go from showing 20 items at a time to showing 21, therefore there is a gap in the last row which can make people think there are no more items to see.

Going back to the original point where can we change the setting for the number of items per page?

So, not the number of rows and columns but the total number of items which are loaded into whatever rows and columns we choose?

Hi,

What I meant was that the settings of your menu item look OK for what you want to do.
There is no setting to set the number of items per page since that is not necessary. It's calculated automatically based on the number of rows and columns you configure.
That's why it should actually be impossible to have 20 items per page on a listing with 3 columns. Yet, you did.
So I went on your backend, edited that menu item and changed the number of rows/columns to make sure that it was properly taken into account, which it was. Then, I restored it to 3*7 and it now displays 21 elements per page:

hi Nicolas

Thanks for this. So it almost seems like it was some sort of issue with caching or needing to just re-apply the settings to ensure they were being paid attention to? Perhaps a setting that was needing re-applied from a previous upgrade?
