I am trying to locate the setting that will hide the brand url from the product display view.

Hello,

If there was a setting, it will be in the configuration page :
www.hikashop.com/support/documentation/54-hikashop-config.html

But you will see that there is no setting.
So it means that you had to customize the view :
www.hikashop.com/support/documentation/1...-display.html#layout

And don't forget that you can use "display view files" setting to help you to determine which view you need to override :
www.hikashop.com/support/documentation/5...g.html#advanced_main
