Since I last updated Hikashop (because I'm sure it wasn't like this before!) there is no explanation for a customer if they have added too many of an item to their cart. If using firefox, and you are at the checkout page trying to adjust the quantity of an item in your cart to more than what is available, the page will refresh and the quantity will be changed back to what is available, but there is no message for the customer that they tried to add too many to their cart. I feel certain that there was an error message like this before i last updated Hikashop.

If the same thing happens in Chrome (actually whenever you try to update a quantity of a product at the checkout even if it is a number that is available, AND you are not logged in as a customer) an error message appears :
Error

Why would this have changed and how can i fix this problem please?

Thank you kindly for your time.

Hi,

I would recommend to turn off the "checkout legacy" setting of the HikaShop configuration. That will then use the new checkout system which should display such error message.
Maybe you've activated that setting at some point ?

Thank you so much, that worked! ^_^

I don't think i touched that legacy setting but perhaps when i updated hikashop it was auto selected? not sure. All good now though, hopefully that might even fix another problem i am having with the checkout at the moment.. could i be that lucky?? haha *fingers crossed*
