Cannot add more than one product option to the cart

-- Joomla version -- : 3.9.13
-- PHP version -- : 7.0.31
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : Chrome 78.0.3904.97

Dear Support,

I made one product with many variants and added it to another product as an option. I set the "Product selection method" option to "Checkbox" so my product looks like prodpic1.jpg.
The problem is, if I choose multiple options, only one option will always be added to the cart (prodpic2.jpg).

Did I miss something, or did I completely misunderstand how the options works?
