I guess the hikashop module don't have the option to display newly listed products?

Thanks!

Hello,

To do that, you'll just have to set the "Ordering field" option through the "Product options" tab of your product listing to "product_created" and set the "Ordering direction" to "Descending".

Kind regards,
Mohamed.

There are some products that were listed a while ago but now we want them to be at the top of the newly listed list. I don't see a "Date Created" option when listing a product in order to edit the date.

I guess that's not available? If not, it would be nice to have because sometimes we add items before a season, but publish them when the season comes - so it would be nice to be able to adjust the "date created" date.

Thanks!

Hi,

In that case, you can create a custom field of the type "advanced date picker" and of the table "product".
Then, in each product you can select a date in that custom field.
And in the settings of your module, you can select that custom field column instead of product_created in the "ordering column".
That way, the ordering will be based on that custom field instead of the created date and you'll be able to adjust it as you want.
You can also edit the created date via mass actions or CSV import, but it's cumbersome compared to that.

Hi,

I did what you instructed but I don't see an "Advanced Date Picker" in the list, only one that is obsolete.

Plus it gives me a message after I saved the product after selecting a date.

Please see attached.

Thanks!

Hi,

You should normally have it at the end of the choices in the dropdown.
If you don't see it, it means that either the date picker field plugin is deactivated or installed, so please look for it in the Joomla plugins manager.
