Hi.

I'm new to this and have a question about the difference between "variants" and "options", when talking about products.

Example:

Scented candles, same price, weight, etc, but different scents, photos and color.

Are these differences variants or options?

Thanks for all your help

Hi,

If the photos changes based on the selected "scent" / "color", you want to use variants.
You'll be able to get something like this:
demo.hikashop.com/index.php/en/hikashop/...with-characteristics
You can see there, the image of the product changes based on the selected color.
Also, that can allow you to have different stock for each color.

Options are things you can add to a product. For example:
demo.hikashop.com/index.php/en/hikashop/...ct-page/with-options

While sometimes, one can be used instead of the other, in your case, I think variants make more sense.
