-- HikaShop version -- : 6.5.2
-- Joomla version -- : 6.1.2

following the change in 6.5.1 to add AVIF as an image type. Is it needed to update the list of image types in the "Allowed images field" to add the avif type to be served\shown to the clients browser?

I noticed on my dev site that the field does not contain AVIF as an extension.

Hi,

You have two ways you can work with AVIF:
1. You can create AVIF files and add them yourself to your products / categories. In that case, you indeed want to add the avif extension in that setting.
2. You continue using the image files you were using before and just activate the "Generate AVIF images" setting in the HikaShop configuration. It will automatically generate the AVIF files when needed and use them on the frontend. So you don't need to change anything to the way you work.
