hi

A serial is a key and is manage using package. so package associate key and product items

1) what is the relation beetween package ( one group of key ) and MANY differents products ?

2) How many way exist for grouping products ? does any of this groups of products can be manage by hikaserial package ? I think of variant and category group for products ; is there anothers one ?

3) for example i have many differents products that have in common the same category name .
i want to attach a different serials for all this products ?I think there is many way to attach a serial for each products ...but is there a easy logicial way to achieve this if many ways exist ?

4) Is there constraint if serial are generate/attach after buy compare when serial are attach by default in each products i nthe setting of product ?

5) how joomla know that is must must manage serial for a product if product don't have any predefine key but only information that key must be compute generate and attach/send to buyer when the product is in the card and payment is effective ?

6) after product creation is there a way to attach 1 serial of a package to 1 product in stock ( automatic way ) ? i have 200 products that share the same category name value and need to attach for each product a ( predefine unique) serial that are in one package (that contain 200 serial)
Can i have some information about the best way to achieve this ?

7) Is there schema workflow for hikaserial ?
is there a schema available that show workflow/timeline with how key are generate and consume attach use free ....... ( the logic/ worflow behind pack ( key =serial )
Here a schema that i try to create to better undertsand hikaserial ( start / begin not finish ) ?
a-i don't use a standart way even i know there is some standart way to render worflow the information
b- i could add php code begug instruction in some joomla file to view the workflow but no hikaserial worflow has been set /configure .

Hi,

It depends on what kind of predefined unique serial you have to provide.

The timeline is explained in the HikaSerial presentation, under the section "what is a serial" :
www.hikashop.com/support/documentation/1...tml#what-is-a-serial

The classical workflow is describe in the main HikaSerial tutorial :
www.hikashop.com/support/documentation/2...serial-tutorial.html

The HikaSerial import will allow you to import the serials and the packs.

Hi
Thank's i ll take time to read the documentation and test .

To summarize all my questions ; my question shoud be :

is there a way to apply a pack to a group of product that share some fields value in common .
for example products that have/share a commomn category value ?
By use apply , i mean an easy ( automatic) way to manage this instead create a package of one key for each products ?

Hi,

Like I said, it depends on what kind of predefined unique serial you have to provide.
You edited your message while I wrote my message...

You can use the same pack for every product and set a quantity of "1".
But I really depends on what kind of predefined unique serial you want to provide.
