Hi,

I just updated the hikashop module to bussines and installed Hikamarket. Then I've a problem with categories: not show them on frontend:
* I had a menu link to list my root category, but now don't render any subcategory.
* In Hikamarket I can only assign to the vendor category in frontend.

I try to rebuild the category tree without luck

Regards

Hi,

Thanks, I now see the problem.
It is not really a problem ; first I though there was a javascript problem with the category tree but in fact, you have a HikaMarket configuration which restrict the vendor in a specific category.

I tried to summarize it in the vendor tutorial documentation page :
www.hikashop.com/support/documentation/1...html#tuto_first_conf

If you look at the HikaMarket configuration screenshot, you will see the section "Categories Options".
HikaMarket can create a specific category for each vendor and restrict him into that category.
If you remove the option "Change vendor root category" (set it to "no"), the restriction will be removed and your vendor will have access to every categories of your website.

When editing an existing product, the vendors will see the categories of their products even if the category is not in their "category tree". They can remove such external category but they can't add them.

Hope my explanation is clear enough.
Do not hesitate to ask for details or reformulation if required.

Well, now I have Javascript error when loading category tree.

ReferenceError: hikam_categories is not defined after syntax error.

Can you check it?

Thanks

Hi,

The javascript has some errors. It looks like you have a lot of categories.
Can you just try to set the "root category" on the "Hipermetal" category ?
If the problem persists, I will have to investigate more in your website and at this moment I will need an backend access (to see the direct content and understand why the category tree is not processed correctly. Maybe some tree left/right errors, maybe not.)

Good tip.

The problem was in database. Some categories had the 'category_type' field empty.
I update to 'product' and now works.

Thanks
