Hi there,

How do I show all the categories on the product creation page (and make them appear a little less crappy than they do right now!) and still have them hidden on the dashboard page?

I also made a video of the problem. Here it is:https://1drv.ms/v/s!ApCULpUUmrCAjfZcQOzqoWIytsXJhg?e=5hbung

I suppose I just need to know which settings allow you to show ALL the categories on the product creation page, but still keeps them off the dashboard.

Hello,

Product ACL and Category ACL are separated ; thus you can remove the access on category (icon in the dashboard) but still let access to product categories configuration during product edition.

Thanks for the info.

I knew that there are different places to do this, that's why I asked the question. But which one do I use for the product category on the product creation page, and what do I use on the dashboard page?

Can you just tell me which menu to go to to make this change? Like Config, then Display, then Product or whatever it is? The page you linked to isn't very clear. I just need to know where to go to display all the categories on the product creation page.

Also, unrelated, but it's not "edition" it's "addition." You ADD a product to the store. Edition means version.

Hi again,

I figured it out, but the category tree looks REALLY crappy on the vendor page!

Is there any way to make that look a bit better?

Hello,

Since the category selection (and the "namebox" system in general) is working fine in our demo website ; your display issue should be related to some of your template CSS.
Probably a "display: block" CSS rule (or similar) which override the namebox CSS rules.

Hi,

Thanks for the info. I did already try to override the CSS, but when I remove the problem images, the category tree does not work properly. I thought I could fix it with an override that just set them to display: none, but that does not work.

As you can see, the problem images are coming directly from Hikamarket, so I don't know how to fix this and still have a working category tree.

Please advise?

Hello,

Images should not be displayed a block.

Sorry, that doesn't really make sense? What are you suggesting I do?

I tried display: none, and it removed all the sub items, so that's not viable.

I tried changing the size of the images, but that makes the whole tree smaller.

Can you please advise how I can simply hide or remove the images that are between the entries on the tree? It is coming directly from Hikamarket CSS, so I'm a little confused about how to do that.

Nevermind. Figured it out. Changed to display: inline.
