Remove "component/hikamarket" from URL?

Hi,

As you can see here: restaurantdirect.ca/component/hikamarket/vendor/show/cid-3 when I click to go to a vendor page on my site, the URL contains /component/hikamarket/vendor/show/cid-3 instead of just the vendor name.
What do I need to change to make it just the vendor name?
I've seen other threads where you mention specifying a menu item for this, since I have a menu for restaurants, which is what my vendors are, and which I can do, but WHERE do I do that?

Hello,

These vendor URL are working just like HikaShop products.
You have to create a "vendor listing" and use that menu in order to have a nice SEF url.

There is an option in HikaMarket to set-up the default vendor listing menu for links you'll have in your website (such as the "sold by" links if you display them).

Hi again,

I created a vendor menu item here: restaurantdirect.ca/all-restaurants

Set the vendor menu in the config, and it works fine from that page.

However, when you access a vendor from the map on the front page at restaurantdirect.ca , it still shows the hikamarket part of the URL.

Is that something I need to get that developer to fix on their end?

Hello,

If the links are coming from "MyMapsLocation", then you should have a setting to set-up the Joomla menu to use for the URL generation.
If there is no menu (no "ItemId"), then Joomla SEF system will create generic URL with "components/hikamarket/".
