Module to display Vendors

is there a way to displays vendors in a module?

my marketplace is mostly product based however it would be good in sections of the site to be able to feature Vendors "shops" - i.e. just a link to their vendor page, with an image, title & perhaps description. It could have the option of a rotation of that vendors product pics as the image?

basically the same as the content module, how you can display products on the site - instead you can display vendors (and their info if you wish).

I can include a wireframe if it helps. but like the content module (which is great) you have the opportunity to choose what info you want to add, and how you want to display it.

more options the better but a simple vendor listing module would be great and those features could be added later

eventually it would be good to display vendors randomly, or prioritise them by their start rating or by their location etc. but a module where you can manually select vendors would be sufficient initially
