Hi,
I tried to make a vendor listing as same as the one shown in hikashop demo. However, when a vendor was clicked, instead of showing the vendor page and the produce list of the vendor, i was asked to login with vendor's ID. even after login I still can not get into the vendor page but the vendor's control panel.

Hi,

Would it be possible to have more details about your configuration ?
It looks like the link you got is not right.
You have "index.php/vendor-listing/2-" instead of "index.php/vendor-listing/vendor/show/2-vendorname"

I added a menu Item with Menu Item Type COM_HIKAMARKET_VENDORMARKET_VIEW_DEFAULT_TITLE, and the configuration in HikaMarket options as shown:

in the hikashop components page,->Display->content modules, a new module was added as shown:

in the market configuration -> market options, the setting as shown:

there are 2 issues, first, as I said before,
"I tried to make a vendor listing as same as the one shown in hikashop demo. However, when a vendor was clicked, instead of showing the vendor page and the produce list of the vendor, i was asked to login with vendor's ID. even after login I still can not get into the vendor page but the vendor's control panel."

the second goes like this. The market was built with template B , and the market is a part of my website which is using the default template A. If the "sold by" enabled and the "vendor" on the product page was clicked, I got into the vendor page with default template A normally.

Please help me to solve these issues. thank you~

Hi,

Like I mentioned it in my previous message ; your issue is related to the SEF.
For an unknown reason, the generate URL does not include the task "show" ; so HikaMarket can't know that the link should point to a vendor page ; so it uses the task from the menu which is a listing.. It results the issue you see.

If you want to force the vendor page to use a specific menu (Joomla menu), you have to set the option "vendor default menu".
It will force the menu, so you will have always the same kind of url and you can also specify a specific template for the menu.

Hi
what kind of Joomla menu should I set as the "vendor default menu"?
I've set a empty vendor page and product listing page as the "vendor default menu", however the problem is still remains.
If the "Search Engine Friendly URLs"in joomla global configuration was disabled, it runs well. would there be a bug in the hikamarket ?

Hi,

For the "vendor default menu", you should use a "vendor listing" menu or a "vendor page" menu.
Vendor listing is generally better.

Are you using a SEF extension like SH404SEF or another ?
If it was a bug in HikaMarket ; we will have also the issue in our demo website and in our test websites. I made some various tests and I was not able to reproduce your issue.
That's why I am asking you to get more details about your SEF configuraiton ; because the issue is related to the SEF (SEF = Search Engine Friendly).

I've test like this: the default url is www.zaihaiwai.net/index.php/vendors/2- , and the problem happens. If I add the "/vendor/show/" in the url manually, let the url be www.zaihaiwai.net/index.php/vendors/vendor/show/2- , it could run very well.
If the vendor default menu is set as none, the url will be www.zaihaiwai.net/index.php/component/hikamarket/vendor/show/2- without missing "/vendor/show/" and the vendor page runs well but be using wrong template.

Hi,

Please understand that without details about your SEF configuration it will be more than hard for me to help you correct (and reproduce your issue).
Can you please provide me details about your SEF configuration ?
www.hikashop.com/support/support/documen...ig.html#features_sef

You can already check that the setting "Remove products and categories id in URLs " is deactivated.

"index.php/component/hikamarket/vendor/show/2-" is not related to a Joomla menu, so it will use the default template and because you're not using a Joomla template, you can assign modules (or template).
That's why you have to use a menu...
