Can't select categories out of Product Category

-- HikaShop version -- : 2.6.5
-- HikaMarket version -- : 1.6.4
-- Joomla version -- : 3.4.1

I have some products category that hang directly from root and not Product Category.

When I edit a product (inside product category) and want to assign it a category that is outside of Product Category it gets selected but after saving it gents not stored.

If I do from HikaShop backend it works flawlessly.

Is it a flaw? Is it on purpose? Can I change it?




UPDATE: Although the screenshot is for a custom made editing screen the problem also happens with the standard HikaMarket product edition form.
