Hi,

The filter by vendor option is not working anymore since last Hikamarket update (2.0.1).

Before I saw only the products of vendor A in the product listing below vendor A his product, now I see all vendors products..

Could you please assist?

Regards,
Joyce

Hello,

What filter by vendor option ?
Please be a lot more precise an provide a screenshot of the configuration for the element which have an issue.
If you can also provide a directly link in order to understand what you're talking about exactly, it would help us to help you.

Hi Jerome,

Sorry to be not clear. What I mean is: see all products from the same vendor below a current product on a product page. Before the update to hikamarket 2.0.1, this was possibible.
Now, after the update, I see all products of all vendors below a current product of a vendor. So it seems that the filter is not working anymore.

In the Hikashop content module I have set up for this, the main category is selected, sub element filter is set to "all subelements" and the "filter same vendor setting" is turned on. So it should remove all products that aren't from the same vendor of the current product on the product page. Please see attached screenshot of the configuration.
And also a link to a product page ("Meer van deze verkoper" means " More products of this vendor"):

Thanks,
Joyce

Hello,

Yes, it is what I mean : the configuration of the element (module in your case) which have the issue.

The setting "filter same vendor" available in HikaShop modules is working for the vendor pages. It can also apply the filter if the view object have a "product" object.
But that setting did not work for the product pages ; so unfortunately the HikaMarket update cannot deactivate a feature which was not there before.
So I suppose that you have modified the HikaShop core in order to patch and add the feature ; modification you lost during the update since it restore all core files.

But there is no regression in the HikaMarket features.

Now, we can see to improve the core and see to implement a compatibility of "filter same vendor" with the HikaShop product page.
It is something I'm not found off since the code won't be flexible and compatible with possible HikaShop evolution.. That's the reason why I did not put that feature before and still prefer having a better solution for nicer implementation.

Hi Jerome,

If the Hikamarket update did not deactivate the feature, could it be that the latest Hikashop update did?
Because I promise that I did not modify the Hikashop core (I would not even know how). And since we did the update to latest version of Hikashop and Hikamarket, the feature is not working anymore.

Can you think of another solution besides "non flexible' codes?

Kind regards,
Joyce

Hello,

It would be unlikely but it could be a possibility.
What is sure is that the code in HikaMarket for the product filtering did not change in the past 7 months.
And I also know that I gave indications in the past to perform an implementation via customization to add that feature ; so it would mean that the feature was not available in that context.

I can assure you that if I had an idea in order to implement that feature in a flexible way, I would have add it.
But maybe when HikaShop would need to handle more synchronization context than the product page and product listing ; we will have something better.
For the moment, the implementation using the parameters would be the faster way and we will add it in the next HikaMarket release.

Hello,

New HikaShop and HikaSerial releases are almost ready ; tests are in progress.
The developments for the next HikaMarket release are not all completed ; so we will have to see.
But please note that we never give precise indication about the releases ; we prefer to do it when it's ready :)
