We've been really struggling to get this aspect of our operation in order. We want our vendors to be able to set up their own shipping methods.

We signed up for UPS and connected to the UPS API. Are shipping costs supposed to be calculated via our one account, or should each vendor set up their own shipping cost?

Also, all of the shipping cost at the check out are unusually high. We are guilty of estimating the size and weight of the products to a certain degree, but still the cost of shipping comes out to be drastically high.

Is there a tutorial or a walkthrough for setting up shipping for multiple vendors? ideally something fully comprehensive, from connecting to the APIs, to setting it up on the back end of the site? please advise. Your help is always appreciated.

Kind Regards!

Hi,

HikaMarket does not allow yet the edition of the shipping methods in the front-end.
You can configure the shipping methods in the backend and assign a shipping method to a specific vendor.
Assigning a shipping to a warehouse is like using a warehouse. The products will be split and each "group" will have his own shipping method list.

If you are using the UPS shipping method, please check that the options to process the package are right. If you do not "group package", each product will be send separately and the shipping cost become very high.

We didn't update the shipping documentation yet (for the warehouse and multi-vendor) but if you have question about it, do not hesitate to ask for.
