Hello,

Since HikaMarket provides a plugin for "Paypal Adaptive" and that plugin support "paypal classical" ; there is no need for vendors to create paypal instances.
The Paypal Adaptive plugin in classical mode already do what is require to have a fully working multi-vendor shop and will send the money directly to the vendor if he set-up his paypal email address and is the only vendor in the cart (thus the HikaMarket setting to limit the number of vendor is useful).

Thank you for your reply Jerome but please check why PayPal adaptive can not work for us!

1. PayPal adaptive does not allow Vendors to apply Restrictions on paypal payment method.
2. We (the site owners) do not want to receive payments from customers if the Vendor has not provided his paypal account. We do not want in any case to intervene in any transaction, because this hides taxation issues (at least in our country).

So the only way is not to use the "PayPal adaptive" and let the Vendors use/create their own paypal instance and set it as they want.

And we return to our first question...

How can we set the "Enable validation mode" to be NO by default instead of YES?

Is this a database value that we have to change? If yes... can you please point us to the right table?

Thank you in advance for your reply.

Hello,

Then I'm afraid that you will need to edit the HikaShop Paypal payment plugin which contains the default values directly in the "pluginConfig" variable.

Hi Jerome,

Please note that the Paypal header url option seems to be deprecated.
Paypal doesn'l allow anymore to setup this from the merchant account unless you use there integrated payment methods.

Passing this image doesn't do anything but I might be wrong.

Best,
Saad

On file...

plugins/hikashoppayment/paypal/paypal.php

there is...
'notification' => array('ALLOW_NOTIFICATIONS', 'boolean', 1),

No matter if i set 1 or 0 at the end, nothing changes! ALLOW_NOTIFICATIONS is always YES at the frontend when vendor creates paypal payment method.

Please advise...
Thank you.

Hello,

Please note that the HikaShop paypal plugin is part of the HikaShop package so does the HikaShop support.
HikaMarket includes a paypal adaptive plugin thus it's the only plugin I can provide support for.

I don't understand your message regarding the paypal header and something deprecated.
You wanted to know how to change the default value for a setting in the plugin and I told you that the only current solution is to edit that plugin directly.
But you need to edit the correct entry since "ALLOW_NOTIFICATIONS" is for the setting "Allow Notifications" and you want to edit the setting regarding the "validation mode".
