Hello,

Thanks for all the help thus far with Hikashop...

I tried to view the tutorials in this site but there are some issues that have to be resolved...i am trying to test my Hikashop cart to work now & i have some critical questions(if there are related answers in this forum please let me know):

1) When i add an item in the cart and proceed to checkout if i don't buy the item (because i only have 1 item per product) then i cannot view it back for sale. Its been said to be "out of stock" and then i add it manually from my Joomla panel for testing purposes. Is there a way for the item to get back in the cart automatically? What if this is done by accident from a user -just don't want potential buyers to get confused- can this be fixed and how?

2) Is there a way to remove the "Enter your coupon" field from image#3?

3) How can i secure the site from being hacked? Is there any security plugin i can install that you might suggest?

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

Hi kyproulis,

1) You can enable the "Hikashop Orders Automatic Cancel Plugin" plugin, to restore the stock if the product has not been bought.

2) To remove the "Enter your coupon" field, in HikaShop > System > Configuration > Checkout.
Remove the "coupon" in the checkout workflow.

3) HikaShop is secure. I don't know which plugin can improve the security.
Check for an extension here: http://extensions.joomla.org/search?q=security

Hello,

1) I've installed the "Hikashop Orders Automatic Cancel Plugin" and it doesn't seem to be working... i mean i can still see "no stock" message next to the picture for that item after i place it in the cart. Even when i am removing the item from the cart i still do not see the product back for sale... is it possible that i am doing something wrong? i mean i had to go back to products page within Hikashop panel and put the item back for sale...

2) Is there a way to put a menu link for the cart so that a potential buyer can check their cart? i mean i would have to put a log-in account for potential buyers to be able to log-in i quess and then after they do that they should be capable of checking what they ordered by themselves an proceed to checkout...

Thanks for all the help.

Hi,

1. In order to use that plugin, you need to configure your cron task:
www.hikashop.com/en/support/documentatio...ashop-cron-task.html

2. You can create joomla item menu of the type "hikashop checkout" for that via the joomla menu manager.

It is available in the Essential edition. Could you post a screenshot if you don't see the interface ?

Then that's normal that it doesn't work. There is no other solution I'm afraid.

Hello,

Are there any templates that can work better with a shopping cart? I mean was the demo template done specifically to work with a shopping cart?

Kypros.

Hi,

Any template will work with HikaShop.

The demo template was indeed done specifically to style HikaShop's interface a bit.

I guess it's possible by creating a category listing menu.

You can just upgrade. You won't loose anything.
