Problem with "Complete Order" button /Checkout

-- PHP version -- : x.x.x
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : XXXXX x.x.x
-- Error-message(debug-mod must be tuned on) -- : Error_message

After the update I can't complete the checkout.
When I am at the last step and press complete order button system redirects me to the page: www.farmakeio24.net/index.php/product/listing

Showing the message: "The cart is empty" - although I can still see my products in the cart module on the left column of my site.

Is this a known issue? Do I have to change something in the settings?
I checked the template, and is not a template issue.
Please it is urgent. Customers cannot place orders.

Hi,

This is not a known bug of the current version.
It must be a problem of the update process.
Turn on the debug mode and error reporting options of the Joomla configuration and try again. Do you get an error message on your checkout ?

I am having the same problem. My site is under development, not live. I have turned on Joomla debug and error reporting. What should I be looking for? There is no obvious error message other than the 'The cart is empty'

Hello All.

I am having the same problem, My site is also in development phase, I was using the free version and it was working fine, but once i have installed the Hika Shop Essential as i needed the Guest Checkout, it has started giving the problem.

Try adding a product, and the proceed to checkout, It stays on the same page and neither the Finish Button works, nor the Proceed to checkout.

I am attaching my checkout settings.
Please Correct me what i am doing wrong there.

Nope it did'nt fix the issue, it keeps refreshing the page when clicked on Proceed to Checkout.

I did a test on your website and I'm able to complete a purchase. The Finish button works fine. No cart empty error for me.

@miketelles
It's normal that the "proceed to checkout" button keeps you on the checkout since the goal of that button is to go to the checkout.
For the 'Finish' button, it looks like you messed up with the "checkout workflow" option of the configuration. Please restore it to its default configuration as explained in the configuration.
Also, it could be that your template is not displaying any error message. Please do that check:

Problem persists to me. Although there are some times that works fine. It is very strange 1 - 2 out of 10 attempts work, so yes it is not failing all the times. Could it be a server problem?

It's probably the user account you're using for your tests which has a user session issue.
Try with another user.
I wasn't able to reproduce the problem on my end.

Have put Checkout Workflow to its default state, and things seem OK now. Was not aware I had changed the workflow.

More on this. If the user has put something in the cart and then logged off, when they pick up the cart at next login and proceed to checkout, when they press 'Finish' you get the 'cart empty' error. If you put some thing else into the cart before checking out it is OK. So the problem is to do with picking up a cart with something in it from a previous session.

This has to be a bug. I replaced most of my files with files I had from my old 2.2.9 version and it worked. This update created serious headaches... :(
