Is it possible to add some custom fields, so that the customer has to fill in theese fields for a certain product - could be for example a name field on a custom cup or something like that.

Hi,

Yes. You need to create a custom field of the table "item" via the menu Display>Custom fields (Business edition only).
You can see an example of the result with several custom item fields on this page of our demo website:

Hi,

You need to create custom fields of the table "item". They will appear on the product page automatically if configured properly.
You can read more about the custom fields here:

Thanks but...... when I create a few fields, they appear on the products in backend
I cant seem to find out how to make them appear on the products in frontend, so the customers can fill in the fields before they put the items in the cart

I need (for now) 3 fields and cant get it to work on the products:

1) Place of exam (text field)
2) Date of exam (date field)
3) Exam-id-number (integer number field)
- all required fields

When the customer puts in the information he can then select quantity and put it in the cart an complete the order, and we should then get these 3 informations in the mail we received with the order

I an desperate but not smart enough to understand the instructions in the link you gave me......
Can you give me a short instruction how to do it?

THANKS :)
Finn
