Hi,

I have Query regarding the Hika Subscription. as i want to use the stripe payment method not PayPal for recurring Subscription can i use that.
If Yes can you please let me know how to setup stripe payment method for recurring Subscription.

Hello,

It is not possible to use Stripe for recurring payments in HikaSubscription due to the Stripe recurring API which do not provide the required flexibility.
I wrote about that several times ; the Stripe Recurring API force the creation of every plan & subscription in their platform so you can't sell multiple products when you have a subscription in the customer cart ; you can't have discount either and you can't change easily prices (or make modifications in the subscription).

Thanks for the revert

We know in stripe subscription plans are made on stripe and changing price and other details are hard. But if still we want to add this as a payment method can we do that.
Is there any well known technical issue we might face or anything you want to share before we start the custom part.

Hello,

It will be difficult to give you a full answer since we spent some time to test Stripe Subscription but we did not finalized our specifications.
The development of recurring with Stripe might require some modifications in the HikaSerial core.
Since a recurring product must be alone in the cart, the setting to restrict the products in the cart should be improved.
Regarding the Stripe API ; it is possible to create the plans via the API. My first idea was to create them dynamically when required.

I have one more query regarding the PayPal pro payment method. when i add recurring product to the cart it show No payment methods found. Well in the Back-End i have configured PayPal pro correctly. can you please let me know what the issue here it will be great help.

More Query Jerome :)
1. On checkout page of HikaShop if we login from there it will logged in the user but the login menu still appear, because page did not refresh. can you please let me know the solution for this.
2. And also if don't want to show the login and register form only the link to my login or register page how can i proceed with this.
3. Or can we check if the user is logged in or not when they add product from the product listing page and redirect to login or register page if not logged in.
4. If i want to edit something in checkout.js file how to override that.

Hi Jerome,

On Hikasubscription listing i want to show the subscription cost, but in subscription array don't have that column. can you please let me know do we have any function for that or need some joins from product section.

Hello,

The subscription do not have a cost.
But an HikaShop product have prices and can be linked with a subscription.
And you can have several HikaShop products which are using the same HikaSubscription plan (for creation, renewal, etc)
