Hi all,

I've recently downloaded the latest hikashop business and I'm trying to use Paypal express. I've 'published' the plug in, but nothing has changed. Am I missing something?

Thanks,
Hal

Hello Hal,
Can you follow each step of the payment section of the FAQ and tell me if it works ?

Thanks.

Hi,

I followed them as best as I could. I've currently got Paypal as my only payment method. At the moment it requires registration and a shipping address though before it will proceed. Can I have Paypal express and normal Paypal at the same time?

Thanks again,
Hal

Hi Hal,
Sure, you'll just have to configure and publish them both.
Regarding the Paypal express, the best solution will be to use the "Display Express Checkout button on checkout view" and "Display Express Checkout button on cart view"
Also, make sure that you have a "cart" action through one of the step of your checkout workflow through "Hikashop->System->Configuration->Checkout"

I can't get into configuration for paypal express. When I select 'hikashop options' it redirects to the normal Paypal options...

In a previous version of Hikashop I had the login error described in this thread (this is my website):

www.hikashop.com/forum/checkout/867068-login-error.html#150357

When I upgraded to the latest version of Hikashop, I had the same login problem so copied across the old 'media/com_hikashop/js/hikashop.js'. Could this be the problem?

Thanks,
Hal

Hi,

That should not be related, but in any case, the previous correction has been made on our end and we released a new version 2.3.1 included these fixes, and some other.

So thanks to update your current version with the one available on our website and try again. :)

Hello,

I have upgraded hikashop, but I'm still getting the same problem with the Login as before, except this time I can't copy across the hold hikashop.js file as it brings the site down!

The paypal express thing is also still not working, no configuration... It just redirects to Hikashop options for normal Paypal.

Thank you for your time.

Thanks,
Hal

Any ideas?

I have installed the new hikashop and it now won't allow anyone to Login. It directs to a blank page.

It also doesn't allow new registered customers through to the Paypal site. They are having to place the order and then Login to their Paypal separately to make the payment.

Thanks,
Hal

Hello Hal,

I have installed the new hikashop and it now won't allow anyone to Login. It directs to a blank page.

Can you :
- Active the Joomla debug mode ("Administration->Global configuration->System->Debug System/Language")
- Set the "error reporting" option of the Joomla configuration to "maximum"
- Test it again so that we can see if it display an error message.

Still having problems logging in. I turned on the Debug and Language, but no errors came up. If I try to Login on the main registration page it re-directs to .../component/users/?view=login with a blank white page.

Thanks

A blank page...

Hal

Hello,
I just tested it and the registration went fine, can you download the last Hikashop version through our website, install it and test it again ?

Thanks,

The problem arises when you either, type in the wrong email or password or a combination of the two at Login. Or it also occurs if you're already a registered user.

If you add something to the cart and then try to Login at the checkout page it doesn't recognise that your inputting an email address, just comes up with a 'Please enter email address'. Could you please check this?

Thanks,
Hal

Hi,

I checked the code of your checkout and it seems that you modified the "login" view file of the "checkout" view via the menu Display>Views as the code there is different from what we have in the latest version of HikaShop and that's why you get that problem.
Remove your customization of that view file and you should not get that error.

Thanks for your help,

I have had a look at that file this morning and have no idea what the modification would look like. Can you please tell me how it should read?

Hi Nicolas,

I removed the customisation and re-installed hikashop. This had no effect on the problem that I am experiencing. I went further than this and also removed the customisation on Login_form, address, shipping etc. This still had no effect.

Thanks,
Hal

Update:

If I also delete the customisation to Login_form it will allow me to Login.

Subsequently I have deleted all the customisations. I thought this may be the reason behind the problems with Paypal express. It turns out that its not. I can't seem to configure paypal express at all. If I select 'hikashop options' it navigates to the normal Paypal options?!? Any ideas?

Thanks,
Hal
