Display All Products in Category

-- HikaShop version -- : 3.1.1
-- Joomla version -- : 3.7.5

When I click on one of the menu at the top (horizontal menu), I would like it to display all the products in that category, similar to how it works here: www.saksoff5th.com/Entry.jsp . Then I would like to use a paginator to break up how many items can be listed on each page.

How do I change the menu to do that? I've tried a few variations but not getting it to work.

And, would it be Joomla's paginator that I would use to break up the display of items on the page?

Thanks!

This should be fast but it's taking me too long.

I still have the categories showing above the products. How do I remove that please?

Thanks!

Hi,

Edit your menu item via the Joomla menu manager and change its type from "categories listing" to "products listing" if you don't want the categories at the top.

Sorry Nicolas,

But I'm not seeing it :(

I went to: Menu > HikaShop default menus > Categories listing >

Looked around for the type so I can change it from "categories listing" to "products listing" but don't see that option.

Thanks!

Hello,

Please understand that what Nicolas is talking about is not related to HikaShop or HikaShop settings.
The menu type is a Joomla setting of the menu configuration.
The "HikaShop category listing" and "HikaShop product listing" is one of the available types, like the "Joomla article page" or the "contact form".

Like this right?

If that is correct it is still showing all the categories at the top.

Thanks!

Hello,

I simply provide the URL of the menu you have configured.
You displaying another URL and it display another content.

Even if you configure a module to display a product listing, if in the URL you give parameters to override some elements, like "ctrl=category" ; the information "ctrl=product" in the Joomla menu won't be used.
So the problem is not your menu configuration but the links you have generated.

To be honest I am totally confused. Can you dumb it down a bit for me please.

I simply sent you the link from the website so I'm unclear as to what you are saying. The link I sent you is the link the customer will see - so how do I fix that? What exactly do I change?

I HAVE to remove the categories at the top - pleeeese how do I do that?

Thank you.

Hi,

Add that CSS and that will remove the sub categories there:
#hikashop_category_information_menu_147 .hikashop_subcategories_listing{ display: none; }
