products with no description

Yes. The best is to use the mass action system :

In the menu System>Mass actions, you can create a mass action on the product data, with a filter on the product_description column being equal to nothing and an action "display the values" with the product name and product description fields.
When you click on "process", it will display the products without descriptions.
Then, you can double click on the description cells to get an input field where you can enter the description text and then click ok to validate the change for the product.
