Hi Hika Shop Team,

is it possible to get additional products automatically in the shopping cart when selecting one product. I tried it with the bundle function but somehow it doesn't work.

What do I want to have:

A customers puts one product via the button (add to cart) in the shopping cart. Automatically, 1 to x other products (which in my case are for free) are also put automatically into the shopping cart of the customer so that he sees the products there, too.

==> One click, more then one product in shopping cart :)

How is that possible?

Thanks!

Hello,

I just tested it on your website and the add to cart button worked fine, so can you give us more information about your issue through some screenshots for example ?

Thank you.

Hi Mohamed,

it's not about the add to cart button. What I mean:

You put one item into the cart but automatically one or more products will be put automatically into the customers cart without he needs to do that. Like a dependency between products.

E.g. A customer puts a bottle into the cart and with that automatically flyer and gummibears end up in his cart. Of course flyer and gummibears are also normal products in the shop and available to buy separately. But in the case of the Bottle it goes always with it.

Is that more clear now?

Thanks
Alexander

Hi,

You can create option products, set them in an unpublished category so that they can't be seen from a products listing on your website, add them to the product, and then hide the option area with CSS so that they are not visible, but still added together with the product.
You'll also want to add a characteristic with one value to have one variant in your option so that there won't be a "no" choice for the options.

Hi Nicloas,

that's a first good step. I tried it but I guess I need more support from you :)

What I did so far: As a test I created a hidden category and put an apple inside. I linked this apple to a Gin bottle called "Gruene Fee" on this side:
www.ginmacher.de/index.php/gin-shop
See also this screenshot:

Now at the first product which is called Gruene Fee the view is now different as there is no add to cart button anymore - instead there is now the choose your option button, but behing the product picture. If I click this button, the next page apperas where I can now put the option into the cart. After click two products are in the cart - that's good!

But the second screen is what I do not want to have. I want the the customer clicks in the product listing (as shown in first picture above) as normal on the add to cart button and then the product options attached to this product will automatically go into the cart.

It works for now with the additional step over the product option page, but how can I avoid this second page from the product listing page or hide it with CSS as you mentioned?

Thanks again!

Alexander

Hi,

The options are only available on the product page, not in the listing.
That would require complex coding to change that.
If you don't want that, then you would be better off not using the options feature and instead develop a plugin to add the product to the cart programatically.
